MMC Mode 1: Lecture and Share Content

Summary of Mode

This mode allows instructors to use the MMC to facilitate a lecture by either sharing digital media (ex. PowerPoint) or sharing video of them lecturing.

Sharing Digital Media 

1. Connect your laptop to the MMC via the HDMI cable
   Note: Plugging in the MMC and Polycom Studio may cause a resolution change of your laptop. This can be corrected by adjusting your laptop's display settings
2. Log into your preferred video conferencing software to allow any remote students to participate 
3. Extend your display to the MMC 
4. Set your audio and/or video to the Polycom Studio
5. Share your digital media using the share content feature

Sharing Video of Lecture

1. Connect your laptop to the MMC via the HDMI cable
2. Log into your preferred video conferencing software to allow any remote students to participate 
3. Set your video source to the IPEVO VZ-R Document Camera  
   1. Best option if you would like for remote students to see the instructor lecturing
4. Set your audio source to the Polycom Studio

Important reminders about this mode: Faculty should not move the MMC around the room but can make slight adjustments to its angle.
