Share Content in a Teams Meeting

Tags Teams

In this article, you’ll learn how to share your Desktop screen. We’ll be using the Teams client app instead of Teams on the web.

To share your screen in a meeting

1. Select Share from the meeting controls, then select Screen

If you prefer to show a single window and hide other desktop activity, select Window instead of Screen.

If sharing audio is important for participants to hear video or audio clips, then Include computer sound should be switched to the on position. All sound from your computer, including notifications, will be audible in the meeting.

Grant access to screen recording on Mac

Apps such as Microsoft Teams can access and record the contents of your screen on your Mac. You can decide which apps and websites are allowed to record your screen.

1. On your Mac, choose Apple menu > System Preferences, click Security & Privacy , then click Privacy.
2. Select Screen Recording.
3. Select the check-box next to the Teams app to allow it to record your screen.

Note: If the lock at the bottom left of the pane is locked , click it to unlock the preference pane.

4. Return to your Teams meeting, and try sharing your screen again.

Note: If you're using Teams on the web, make sure you've also granted screen recording permission to your browser.

Stop sharing your screen

When you’re done sharing, select Stop sharing from the meeting controls.
