      • Step-by-Step:

        1. Open SMART Board Tools: Launch the SMART Board Tools software.

        2. Create a New Presentation: Start a new presentation and title it “Climate Change Lecture.”

        3. Insert Multimedia: Add videos, images, and interactive charts using SMART Ink and SMART Meeting Pro.

        4. Interactive Elements: Use the SMART Board tools to create interactive elements like quizzes or polls.

        5. Presentation: Deliver the lecture using the SMARTBoard, engaging students with multimedia and interactive content.

  • Technical tips:

    • Ensure the latest version of SMART Board Tools software is installed.

    • Pre-download all multimedia files. Use a computer or tablet connected to the SMARTBoard.

    • Test all multimedia elements to ensure they function correctly.

Collaborative Research

  • How To: Facilitate group research projects with shared digital resources and collaborative tools.

    • Example: Group Research on Renewable Energy

      • Step-by-Step:

      1. Launch the SMART kapp app.

      2. Create a New Project: Start a new project and title it “Renewable Energy Research.”

      3. Insert Resources: Add links to digital resources, articles, and research papers.

      4. Collaborative Tools: Use SMART kapp to allow students to share notes and ideas in real-time.

      5. Research: Guide students in using the SMARTBoard to present their findings and collaborate.

  • Technical Tips:

    • Ensure the latest version of SMART kapp software is installed.

    • Use a reliable internet connection for accessing digital resources.

    • Test the collaborative tools to ensure they function correctly.

Note: The SMART kapp app is a free app that allows users to connect their mobile devices to SMART kapp digital whiteboards. The app is available for Apple and Android devices.

Advanced Problem Solving

  • How To: Use the board for solving complex problems in subjects like mathematics, engineering, and computer science.

    • Example: Solving Differential Equations

      • Step-by-Step:

      1.  Launch the SMART Math Tools software.

      2. Create a New Activity: Start a new activity and title it “Differential Equations.”

      3. Insert Problems: Input complex differential equations using SMART Math Tools.

      4. Interactive Elements: Use the SMART Board tools to solve the equations step-by-step, allowing students to interact and suggest solutions.

      5. Discussion: Discuss the solutions and the methods used to solve the problems.

  • Technical Tips:

    • Ensure the latest version of SMART Math Tools software is installed.

    • Use a computer or tablet connected to the SMARTBoard.

    • Test the interactive tools to ensure they function correctly.

Note: The SMART Math Tools refers to the math-specific features and functions within the SMART Notebook software to work on the  whiteboard feature.

Virtual Labs

  • How To: Conduct virtual lab experiments and simulations for science and technology courses.

    • Example: Virtual Chemistry Lab

      • Step-by-Step:

      1. Launch the SMART Lab software.

      2. Create a New Lab: Start a new lab activity and title it “Virtual Chemistry Lab.”

      3. Insert Simulation: Use the SMART Lab’s built-in tools or import a virtual lab simulation.

      4. Interactive Elements: Allow students to conduct experiments by manipulating variables and observing outcomes.

      5. Discussion: Discuss the results and the scientific principles demonstrated by the experiments.

  • Technical Tips:

    • Ensure the simulation software is up-to-date.

    • Use a computer or tablet with internet access connected to the SMARTBoard.

    • Test the simulation beforehand to ensure it runs smoothly.
