Smartboard: Access the Biult-in Apps and Native Tools

To access Apps Installed on the Smartboard:

To access native Google Chrome tablet-based apps on the SMART Board, follow these steps:

  1. Power On and Connect:

    • Ensure the SMART Board is powered on and connected to the internet.
  2. Navigate to Home Screen:

    • Use the Home button located at the bottom row or center of the panel to go to the Home screen.
  3. Open the Apps Menu:

    • Tap the Apps icon (waffle button) at the bottom of the screen to open the Apps Menu.
  4. Select and Open an App:

    • In the App Store, choose the desired app from the menu of tiles.
    • If the app requires logging in, be cautious as you will be sharing your personal information. It is recommended to avoid logging in if possible. If you do log in, remember to log off when finished.
       

To Access Native Smartboard Tools, Follow These Steps:

  1. Access Native Tools:

    • Tap the home button.
    • Tap the tool chest icon on the screen.
    • A menu will open, displaying various tools.
    • Select the desired tool from the menu, such as:
      • Pens for drawing or writing.
      • Page Patterns for setting up learning activities.
      • Timers and Choosers for gamified learning activities.
      • Erasers for removing content.
      • Highlighters for emphasizing text.
      • Shapes for adding geometric figures.
      • Text for typing notes.
      • and others.
    • Use the selected tool as needed for your interactive session.

 

To Access Web-Apps with Smartboard Functionality:

  1. Open Chrome Browser (button is on the home screen):

    • Tap the home button.
    • Tap the tool chest icon on the screen.
    • A menu will open, displaying various tools.
    • Select the desired tool from the menu, such as:
      • Pens for drawing or writing.
      • Page Patterns for setting up learning activities.
      • Timers and Choosers for gamified learning activities.
      • Erasers for removing content.
      • Highlighters for emphasizing text.
      • Shapes for adding geometric figures.
      • Text for typing notes.
