What do I need to know about recording? 

  • Recording is available for all scheduled meetings and meetings started from the "Meet Now" option in the calendar view.
  • The recording captures audio, video, and screen-sharing activity
  • Anyone with the participant role can record. You can adjust the attendee role to limit who can record.
  • Anyone who attends or is invited to attend the meeting will have access to the recording.
  • Whoever starts the recording can modify who has access and when the recording expires.
  • Recordings are saved to the owner's OneDrive.

Recording a Teams Meeting

Start Recording

  1. Select More (three dots) > Recoding and transcribe > Start recording from the meeting controls at the top of the screen


Stop Recording

  1. Go to the meeting controls, and select More options (three dots) > Recording and transcribe.

  2. Click Stop recording,
