Administrative Tools

Office 365 Applications

Rollins has a site license for several Microsoft Office 365 applications anyone on campus may access and download Office 365 applications. They may also be accessed through the cloud, from any device.
To see the full list of Office 365 applications you should  login to okta, click on Office 365 mail, click on the waffle grid in the top left.

Office 365 Applications of Note: 

  1. Teams is a communication and collaboration platform that allows you to join or start video or audio meetings, chat, share and edit files, and more. See our Teams Guide for more information. 
  2. OneDrive is a cloud storage platform that offers 5TB of storage to access your files from any device. Utilizing your OneDrive allows you to columtaneously collaborate with your campus colleagues within many of the Microsoft365 applications. More information on how to access your OneDrive
  3. Outlook is the campus email service. you can not only send, receive, pin and flag important emails and other communications, but schedule meetings, events, and more! More information about Outlook's capabilities can be found in our Knowledge Base articles

Adobe Creative Cloud 

Rollins provides members of the campus community with access to the Adobe Creative Cloud, which includes Adobe Express. 

To access the Creative Cloud Suite: 

  1. Computer labs on campus will provide access to Creative Cloud and other applications
    • Please remember that computer labs do not permanently store your work, and any work should be saved to the Adobe Cloud or to your OneDrive
  2. You can Download the Creative Cloud tools on your computer and log in with your Rollins Credentials
  3. Adobe Express can be accessed via the Web, logging in with your Rollins Credentials

Qualtrics

Qualtrics is a survey tool that allows you to create and distribute surveys, and collect data. You can collaborate and share surveys with other Rollins campus partners to edit, and send links to collect data from Campus and beyond with Qualtrics. Artificial Intelligence

Rollins college, through site licensing, has access to various Artificial Intelligence models that you can use with Enterprise Data protection, when logged in with your Rollins Credentials

  1. Copilot Chat is a Generative Artificial Intelligence (GAI), Large Language Model, that acts as a conversational Artificial Intelligence. It is accessible only through the standalone chat functionality. Learn more about Copilot Chat features. 
  2. Adobe Firefly is a GAI, Image Generator through Adobe. It can be utilized within may of the creative cloud applications, or as a standalone image generator. 

Both Copilot Chat, and Adobe Firefly are available through Okta.

Research and Instructional Tools

Canvas

Canvas is the Learning Management System (LMS) for Rollins. Primarily, it is utilized for academic courses, but can also be used for committees, and training. You can log into Canvas through Okta. Learn more about how to use Canvas in our Canvas Guide

Tools of Note within Canvas

  1. Perusall is an online social annotation platform that creates a collaborative learning environment. Students can annotate course content, including text documents, web pages, videos, podcasts, books and images. You can learn more about Persuall in our Perusall Guide. To connect Perusall into your Canvas course, contact the helpdesk.
  2. Turnitin is a tool that checks the originality of writing, and allows for formative feedback on writing assignments. Utilize Turnitin in your Canvas course through a Canvas assignment. More detailed information and instructions can be found in our article about Turnitin Assignments.
  3. Microsoft 365 can be connected to your Canvas course, not only to easily upload your course content from your OneDrive, but to utilize Word, Excel or PowerPoint within assignments. Students will get their own submission copy of one document that you create, ensuring that they start with the correct questions, formatting, and more!

WordPress 

Rollins hosts an instance of WordPress used for academic purposes. You may request a WordPress site set up for a class blog or website project. Kaltura

Kaltura is an all-in-one video tool that allows you to upload, store, create, share and trim videos that can easily be embedded and viewable within Canvas. Directions on how to access Kaltura through Canvas or URL.

Kaltura Personal Capture is a connected tool that allows you to create screen and/or webcam recordings, or audio only files and will automatically store them within the Kaltura Media Space. Learn more about how to use Kaltura and Kaltura Personal Capture through our Kaltura Guide.

NVivo

NVivo is a software that supports qualitative and mixed methods research that is only available to Faculty and Students. Faculty with a Rollins computer may requiest NVivo be installed by contacting the HelpDesk. Otherwise, it is accessible in certain computer labs on campus.

SPSS

SPSS is a collection of software utilized in logical batched and non-batched statistical analysis. Faculty with a Rollins Computer may install SPSS on their machine, or access in certain computer labs. Students may be granted access as needed for classwork. 

SAS/JMP

SAS/JMP is a statistical analysis tool for data visualization and data modeling features. Faculty with a Rollins Computer may install SAS/JMP on their machine by contacting the HelpDesk and making an appointment to install on their device in-person, or may be accessed in certain computer labs on campus

Hardware available to Faculty and Staff

Equipment and hardware, like Video cameras, iPad accessories, audio equipment and more may be checked out at the Olin Library Circulation Desk - restrictions may apply.

If your Rollins provided machine is lost, broken, or stolen, please contact the HelpDesk right away.
