Canvas: Import Course Files into Canvas
Canvas: Import Course Files into Canvas

Importing Course Files into Canvas
Log into
Canvas*
and navigate to your course for which you would like to import the course files.
Note:
Prior to uploading your files to Canvas, we highly encourage you to delete files you do not need.
Click on
Files
.
Note:
You can create separate folders to organize your files.
Click on
Upload
. Locate the downloaded package on your computer and click on it select it, then click
Open
.
Note:
If you would like to upload the zip file as is, you can click on the exported zip file and then you will receive an option to Expand It or Upload It. Expand it will unpackaged the files into the main Canvas folder, while Upload it will upload the entire zip file, as is into Canvas.
Once you have made a selection, the files or zip file will be uploaded to your course's Files area.
Note:
Your Files area is specific to each course.
