OneDrive: How to Share a File

OneDrive has several sharing options. View this link for more information about sharing files in OneDrive

Use this link to watch a video tutorial

  1. Access OneDrive
     
  2. Click on Upload to add your file:


     
  3. Select the file by clicking the circle next to the file name:


     
  4. Click Share at the top of the screen:


     
  5. Click on the link description to access additional sharing options:


     
  6. Uncheck the box "Allow Editing" if you do not want people to be able to make changes to your file:


     
  7. Optional: Turn on the setting to Block download if you do not want others to download the file you are sharing
     
  8. Choose the sharing option you want
    1. Anyone gives access to anyone who receives this link, whether they receive it directly from you or forwarded from someone else. This may include people outside of Rollins. 

    2. People in Rollins College give anyone in Rollins who has the link access to the file, whether they receive it directly from you or forwarded from someone else.

    3. Specific people gives access only to the people you specify, although other people may already have access. 

  9. Click Apply

  10. Double-check to make sure the sharing settings are set correctly:
