Update local connection profile for Microsoft Access

Overview

If you run an Access query and receive a TNS names error, follow the steps below.

Instructions

  1. Download the executable to update the local connection profile 
  2. Double-click the downloaded file
  3. If you receive a pop-up from Windows saying Windows protected your PC, click More Info:

  4. Click Run Anyway
  5. You'll briefly see a window pop-up
  6. Try to run a query again
