Overview
If you run an Access query and receive a TNS names error, follow the steps below.
Instructions
- Download the executable to update the local connection profile
- Double-click the downloaded file
- If you receive a pop-up from Windows saying Windows protected your PC, click More Info:
- Click Run Anyway
- You'll briefly see a window pop-up
- Try to run a query again
