MyRollins FAQs

Announcements

What is the approval process for announcements?

All members of the campus community have the ability to request an announcement which will then be approved by the MyRollins team. All announcements must be submitted at least three business days prior to the post date or deadline.

Do I write my own announcement?

Users submit their own announcements for review. The MyRollins team reviews and approves announcements that are submitted more than three days in advance. Announcements submitted within three days of the requested post date may not be approved.

Why didn't my announcement get approved?

All announcements (alerts and notices) must impact one of the three audiences: students, staff, or faculty. All other announcements can be posted within the organization or department’s MyRollins Group.

Used to provide urgent emergency information to users (e.g. immediate action needed related to weather emergency). Similar to RAVE announcements, emergency announcements require immediate action or provide information related to safety or a weather emergency.

What is a MyRollins notice?

A MyRollins notice is used to provide important information to users. Notices are issued to a user’s activity feed; users can receive information via a push notification, activity feed notification, or email.

Why didn't my announcement appear on the dashboard?

Only alerts appear on the MyRollins dashboard. Alerts are deadline-driven and occur within three business days.
