Miscellaneous Notes

  • We recommend turning on the front bank of lights in the room for better lighting in the recording.
  • If another recording is scheduled to start, the first recording will automatically be stopped & saved.
  • Incorrect resolution will cause flickering on the Capture HD screen, but the flickering is not recorded.
  • If another recording starts, the Capture HD device will prioritize its resources to the recording and will pause the uploading; once the recording is done, it will continue to upload the first recording.
  • You should allow at least 10 minutes in between scheduling recordings. In other words, if recordings are back to back, there should be a 10 minute buffer after a scheduled Capture STOP event and the next Capture START event. For example, if a Capture STOP is schedule for 3:45, the next Capture START event should not be scheduled before 3:55
  • If you use Safari to access your My Media in Blackboard, you must enable cookies. Alternatively, you can use another web browser such as Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox.
