You may immediately join a public team, but you must request to join a private team and then wait for the owner's approval to access the team.

What is a Team?

Teams are a collection of people, content, and tools surrounding different projects and outcomes within an organization. Teams can be used for sharing information and doing collaborative work.

Joining a Team 

1. Open Microsoft Teams (either web or desktop versions), also available through OKTA. 
   
2. Select Teams from the side navigation bar.

 

1. Click Join or create a team on the top right of the window.

Join a team by searching through the teams, or entering a code sent by a team member. 

Join by Searching

1. Search for the team you want to join through the search bar. 

2. Hover over the team name and click Join team.

1. Enter the code in the space provided to join the team.
