ABACS Access Issues for Students

Tags ABACS RBSC

Overview

How to log into your Student RBSC account (e.g., foxid_RBSC) and access ABACS software and the ABACS Storage SharePoint site. The most common issue is browser conflict when using the same browser for both your standard Rollins account and your RBSC account.

Step-by-step

  1. Identify your RBSC account

    • Your ABACS access uses your RBSC identity (e.g., foxid_RBSC).
    • Use this account specifically for ABACS software and storage.
  2. Use a different browser for RBSC

    • If you normally use Chrome for your standard Rollins account, open Firefox, Edge, or Safari for RBSC.
    • Keep the browsers separate to avoid sign-in conflicts.
  3. Sign in with RBSC credentials

    • Open the alternate browser and go to the ABACS Storage SharePoint site.
    • Sign in with foxid_RBSC and your RBSC password.
  4. Access ABACS Storage SharePoint

    • Once signed in with RBSC, navigate to the ABACS Storage SharePoint site and confirm your access to folders/resources.
  5. Access ABACS software (if applicable)

    • Use RBSC credentials when prompted by any ABACS-related software portals or apps.
    • If a login page auto-fills your standard Rollins account, sign out and re-sign in using foxid_RBSC.
  6. Bookmark for quick access

    • In the alternate browser, bookmark the ABACS SharePoint site (and any ABACS software portals you use).
  7. If you hit errors

    • Try an InPrivate/Incognito window in the alternate browser.
    • Sign out of all Microsoft 365 sessions, close the browser, reopen, and sign in with RBSC.

Tips

  • Bookmark ABACS SharePoint and ABACS software portals in the alternate browser to save time.
  • Keep passwords secure; do not share them.
  • Use strong, unique passwords; consider a password manager.
  • Contact the IT Helpdesk at helpdesk@rollins.edu or 407-628-6363 for assistance.
