Creating and Storing a password with 1Password

Overview

You can create and store password in 1Password using the steps below. Once a password is saved, you can search for the password then copy/paste into your application as needed. 

Creating and Storing a password with 1Password

1. Install the 1Password extension on your default browser or the 1Password desktop application.
2. Click the 1Password extension to expand the menu
3. Click + New Item
4. Click Password
5. Enter a title for the item
6. Enter the username for the item
7. Click on the password field then select Create a New Password. You can select the following settings from the password generator:
   1. Type (Random, Memorable, or Pin code)
   2. Length
   3. Type of characters you'd like to include: numbers and/or symbols
      
      
       
8. Add a website URL (if applicable)
9. Add notes (if applicable)
10. Click Save
