As of the '24-'25 Academic Year, the School of Business has 6 classrooms that have advanced technological renovations that accommodate classes that may have Hyflex participants. This means, not all students may be participating in a synchronous class session in-person, and instead may be participating remotely via Zoom.
These rooms include:
Preparing the Screens
- Select "Presentation" on the Cisco touch panel
- Select the screen you intent to show shared content on
- Select "Zoom Presenter" for each option
- Repeat this process for each screen intended to show shared content
- Select the screen you intend to show the remote participants
- Select "Zoom Caller"
- Repeat this process for each screen intended to show remote participants
- Touch the Cisco panel screen anywhere outside of the menu to go back to the main menu
Testing Microphones and Audio
- Select the "Settings" Icon in the top right corner of the main menu
- Select "Microphone"
- Select "Test Microphone"
- Select "Repeat"
- Select "Start"
- Once Audio is confirmed, select "Stop"
- Touch any part of the Cisco panel screen outside of the menu to return to the main menu
- Close the menu by tapping the "X"in the top right corner to go back to the Cisco Main Menu
Starting the Zoom Session
- Confirm that the Zoom application as recently updated (6.2 or higher)
- Log into your Rollins Zoom account from your personal device or classroom computer.
- Start the desired Zoom Session
- Do not connect to any computer audio by selecting the "X" in the top right corner of the dialogue box
- Select "Continue" on the next dialogue box
Note: PC Users turn off the sound on your personal device or the classroom computer.
Mac Audio Settings
- Select the Up arrow in the Zoom Audio settings
- Select "Audio Settings"
- Mute Output volume to 0
- You can do this by sliding the "Output level Volume" all the way to the left
- Exit the menu and return to Zoom session by selecting the "X" in the top right corner
Adding the Room to the Zoom Session
- Start from the Main Menu on the Cisco Panel
- Open the Zoom application
- Select "Enter Meeting ID" to bring up the keypad
- Enter the Zoom session meeting ID and Passcode
- Select "Join"
Note: if you use a waiting room, you will need to admit the "Room Kit" from your device or classroom computer.
Setting Cameras for all Audiences
1. From the Zoom Session on the Cisco Panel
2. Select "Presenter & Audience"
3. Select "Local Presenter"
4. Toggle "Show Audience Camera" on
- Select the Camera icon at the bottom of the screen
- Select "SelfView"
- Select "Show SelfView"
- Move SelfView potion to bottom left corner
- Touch the Cisco panel screen anywhere outside of the menu to go back to the main Zoom menu
- Select "Video Layout"
- Select "Show/hide non-video participants" to either show or hide non-video meeting participants.
- Select "Change Video Layout" to your desired Zoom video layout
- i.e. Speaker, Gallery, Multi-speaker, or Immersive
- Touch the Cisco panel screen anywhere outside of the menu to go back to the main Zoom menu
Sharing Content into Zoom Session
- From your Laptop or the Classroom Computer
- In the Zoom Session
- Select "Share Content" within the Zoom session
- Choose the content to be shared to the meeting
- Check the box for "Share Sound"
- Check the box for "Optimize for video clip" if you plan to share media that includes Audio
- Select "Share"
At this point, the screens that were selected as "Zoom Presenter" will now show the shared content and remote participants should see it as a normal Zoom Screen Share or Zoom presentation.
