How to change the default browser for links in Outlook

Overview

Microsoft Outlook for Windows has a new feature that forces links in Outlook to open in Microsoft Edge. This setting overrides your default browser settings for your computer. If you would like for Outlook to open links in your default browser rather than Microsoft Edge, follow the steps below. 

Instructions

  1. Open your Outlook application
  2. Click File
  3. Click Options
  4. Click Advanced 
  5. Under file and browser preferences, select which browser you'd like to open hyperlinks from Outlook in
