Key Request Overview
To request locksmith services, please submit a request through the Key Request Form, available by clicking the Key Request Form button on this page.
- New keys or adding access to existing keys must be requested by the Department Head. Please ensure the request includes a detailed list of the spaces needing access.
- Residential student key requests should be submitted through the Residential Life office or by calling them directly at 407-646-2649.
Key Responsibility
Anyone issued a key must sign for it and will be responsible for its use and safekeeping.
Lock Shop Policies and Procedures
The Facilities Lock Shop is dedicated to providing exceptional service to our campus community. To better serve students, staff, and faculty, we are implementing set hours for key pickups and updates:
- Lock Shop Hours: Tuesdays and Thursdays, from 9:00 AM – 11:00 AM and 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM during the semester.
- Please use the lockshop@rollins.edu email for larger key orders. Key requests will typically be ready for pick-up within one week. You will receive an email notification when your keys are ready.
Important: For security reasons, our technician cannot pick up or deliver keys, and we do not use the Rollins mail system for key distribution. The requesting individual or department representative must pick up keys or have electronic keys updated in person at Facilities Services, located at 450 W. Fairbanks Ave, next to the railroad tracks. Please bring your R-Card for identification.
Lost or Stolen Keys
If a key is lost or stolen, the individual must report the loss immediately to both the issuing Department Head and Campus Safety. Depending on the circumstances, a replacement key fee or a facility re-keying charge may apply.
