Adding the ECMP Assignment to a Canvas Course

Adding the ECMP assignment into your course involves two steps.

1. Import the assignment from Canvas commons 
2. Make the assignment available to students in your course

1) Import the ECMP assignment from Canvas Commons

1. Click on Commons, located on the left global navigation menu
   
   
    
2. If this is your first time accessing Commons, you will be asked to authorize Commons
   
   
    
3. Click on Filter, on the top of the screen near the search box
   
   
    
4. Select Rollins College
   
   
    
5. Click on the X to close the filter window
   
   
    
6. Click on the name of the assignment card that reads: Ethical Reasoning Submission
   
   
    
7. Click on the Import/Download button on the right side of the screen
   
   
    
8. Select the course you want to import the assignment into
   
   
   
    
9. Click Import into Course
   
   
    
10. You will receive a confirmation message that "You have successfully started the import! It may take a little while to see changes in your course"
    
    
     
11. Once the import has finished, the assignment will appear in the course you selected, in the Assignments area
    
    
     
12. It will be placed in a new category called Imported Assignments
    
     

2) Make the assignment available to students

If students access content through Modules

• You will need to add the assignment to a module
• You will also need to make sure the module and the assignment are published

If students access content through the Assignments link 

• You do not need to do anything else
