WordPress: Make a Page Private

There may be times when you would like to make an individual WordPress page private so that only you and other logged-in users can view the content.

1. Open your post in WordPress to edit, or create a new post
    
2. On the page, you will see a box labeled Publish
   
   
    
3. In that box, next to the Visibility option, click on Edit
   
   
    
4. Choose the appropriate option
   1. Public: everyone can see it
      
      
   2. Password protected: a user will need a special phrase in order to view the content. They will not need to log into the site as long as they have the password
      
      
   3. Private: a user must log in in order to view the page
      
       
       
5. Click OK
