Project Horizon is modernizing the processes and technology behind many of our academic, financial, and employee operations.
Many of the systems we rely on every day were built for a different time. Project Horizon combines process improvements and updated practices with the upgrade and migration of Banner to the cloud. Together, this work is creating a stronger, more flexible foundation that will help the College adapt to changing needs and improve everyday experiences.
It's more than a technology project
This is a campus-wide transformation that impacts how we support students, manage resources, and deliver services across the institution. Departments from all across campus are actively involved in this work. In addition, stakeholders from across campus have played a key role in shaping these improvements through Technology Governance, Data Governance, and cross-functional academic and administrative experience groups.

Behind the scenes, significant work has gone into strengthening our data quality and technology foundation.
More visibly, the rollout of MyRollins a few years ago was one of the first changes as part of this process, replacing FoxLink with a more modern and capable platform. You may have also experienced the modernized Degree Works or used one of the many updated forms and workflows in Kuali.
In the coming months, you'll continue to see improvements roll out.
There’s no action you need to take now
While our systems will continue to evolve along with enhancements focused on process and experience, this project will culminate in the new version of Banner going live on March 1, 2027. More information about any associated changes or downtime will be communicated in the future.
