MyRollins 101: The Basics

Body

Overview

MyRollins is an engagement tool for all members of the Rollins campus community to engage with departments, offices, registered student organizations, and campus committees.

View the MyRollins video demo here.

To log in, visit my.rollins.edu, and login using your FoxID (without @rollins.edu) and password.

The Dashboard

The Dashboard is the homepage of the MyRollins portal. Students, faculty, staff, and emeriti will each see different information on the dashboard based on their role.

The top portion of the dashboard allows access to quick links. Quick links are helpful links to resources, websites, and relevant information based on audience as well as the time of the year.

Groups

Groups are for academic and administrative departments, student organizations (with a staff or faculty advisor), employee resource groups, or college-wide committees. Groups connect users with people, discussions, announcements, events, and resources.

Events and calendars

The ‘Events and Calendars’ section of MyRollins centralizes all the different groups’ calendars into a single location.

Widgets and Tools

Tools provide quick access to systems many users might have found in FoxLink. Instead of giving out step-by-step instructions on how to find a link, you can provide a link directly to the tool or direct users to use the appropriate search bar.

Widgets provide a surface-level snapshot into a system or application that is external to MyRollins. Widgets are meant to provide access to information at a glance while enabling the user to remain in the MyRollins portal.

Pages

Pages provide a dedicated space for content that should be visible to the Rollins community. Each group in MyRollins has the option to enable one page that displays as a tab in the group. If an academic department, administrative department, employee resource group, or college-wide committee group needs additional pages, they can be requested via the MyRollins Group Request form. These additional pages can be linked to the group under the info tab, resources tab, or page tab. If you have already created a Group, but need additional pages, email my@rollins.edu.
