In Microsoft Teams, you can share and collaborate on files with Team members. Within each team there are channels. Each channel has its own file folder where you can share files for that specific channel. Files uploaded and shared to a team are accessible to every member of the Team. Make sure to use the Files tab at the top of the channel conversation window instead of the Files button on the left side of the app.

You can create collaborative files in Word, PowerPoint, Excel etc. in a Teams channel. Members of the team can view and edit these documents, enabling them to collaborate in real time.
1. Open the Teams channel that you want to collaborate in
2. Click on Files on the menu at the top of the page
3. Click on the New drop-menu
4. In the drop-down menu that opens. Select the file type you want to create, e.g., Word document
5. The document will open in Teams, and will be ready for you to edit. The file will also be available to team members for viewing or editing.
Open in Browser
There is an option to work in the browser version of the app.
1. In the menu at the top of the Window, click Editing
2. In the drop-down menu that opens, select Open in Browser

You can also work in the desktop version of the app.

2. In the drop-down menu that opens, select Open in Desktop App

You can add existing files to a Team’s files folder.
Drag and drop
Using your mouse, drag the file from where it is located to the Teams window among the files.
Upload
1. Click Upload
2. In the drop-down menu that opens, select File, Folder or Template, depending on what you would like to upload
3. Select the document(s) you would like to upload
4. Select Open
The files will be accessible to any member of the Team.

1. Click Share in the menu at the top of the window
2. In the drop-down menu that opens, select Share
3. In the menu that opens open Link Settings
4. Make sure Specific people is selected
5. Under Other settings, select Can edit
6. Type the email address(es) of people you want to email the file link and click Send
7. Alternatively, select Copy under Copy Link to choose where you share the link
