How to check your battery health - Windows 10

Body

  1. In the start menu, search for Windows Powershell
  2. Right-click and select Run as Administrator
  3. Type or paste in the following command: powercfg /batteryreport /output "C:\battery-report.html" and press enter:

  4. When it's completed, navigate to the C: drive to access the health report:

  5. You'll see information about the installed battery/batteries:

  6. Continue to scroll down and you will see the battery capacity history (full charge capacity vs design capacity):

  7. At the bottom of the report, you will see the current estimate of battery life (at full charge vs at design capacity):
